Founded in 1977 by Alabama Professional Land Surveyor Lynn Lavell Taylor and Alabama Professional Land Surveyor and Civil Engineer John D. Hyde, the establishment of Taylor-Hyde & Associates represented one of the first land surveying firms in Arab, Alabama.  Taylor-Hyde & Associates quickly became reputed for excellence in land surveying and land planning through the practice of employing experienced survey field crews equipped with the latest surveying technology. 

Our company has evolved into what is now Taylor-Rainwater & Associates.  The addition Robert L. Taylor and Adrienne T. Rainwater, son and daughter of founder Lynn Lavell Taylor, offers a combined 35 years of education and experience providing efficient and effective land surveying techniques and methods and business administration processes to our company.

We pride ourselves in the ability to take a seemingly impossible location and make it a project ready environment with the use of high standards in drafting, quality teams, and years of accomplishment in the surveying field.

Robert L. Taylor is President of Taylor-Rainwater & Associates.  He is in charge of Survey Operations and oversees all survey activities.  Robert is responsible for client survey relations, maintenance of survey projects and schedules, and survey quality assurance. 

 Robert is a Professional Land Surveyor in Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi.  He is a member of the Alabama Society of Professional Land Surveyors, the Arkansas Society of Professional Surveyors, and the Tennessee Valley Professional Land Surveyors Association.  Robert has over 20 years education and experience in land surveying, land planning and subdivision planning in addition to field coordination and drafting administration for large multi-site ALTA/ACSM projects.

Adrienne T. Rainwater is Vice President / Business Manager of Taylor-Rainwater & Associates.  She is in charge of Business Operations and oversees all business related activities.  Adrienne is responsible for client account relations, maintenance of office activities, and office quality assurance.

 Adrienne is a Business Administration graduate of Athens State College.  Adrienne has over 15 years experience working for National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as a government contractor in both Engineering and Business Administration.

Jordan D. Bright is Drafting Manager.  Jordan is responsible for the coordination, supervision and quality assurance of drafting operations.

Paula Covert is Office Manager.  Paula oversees all office administrative activities.  She is responsible for client relations, account activities and employee relations.
